Should I refer to CAIIB’s solved papers for the last 5 years?

IIBF revised the CAIIB syllabus, effective from 2023. So, it would make more logical sense to go through the previous year question papers of the exams held after the changes were introduced.

What is the CAIIB Exam Pattern 2024?

The CAIIB exam consists of 5 papers—4 compulsory papers and 1 elective (out of 5) paper:

Compulsory Papers

  • Advanced Bank Management (ABM)
  • Bank Financial Management (BFM)
  • Advanced Business and Financial Management (ABFM)
  • Banking Regulations and Business Laws (BRBL)

Elective Papers of CAIIB

Candidates need to choose any one from the following: 

  • Rural Banking 
  • Human Resources Management 
  • Information Technology and Digital Banking 
  • Risk Management 
  • Central Banking

Each paper includes 100 questions worth 1 mark each. And the time allotted for each paper is 2 hours.

Is the CAIIB exam MCQ-based or written?

CAIIB is an online multiple-choice question (MCQ)-based exam. However, some numerical questions require you to type the correct value instead of selecting from given options.

What are the passing marks for the CAIIB exam?

Generally speaking, you need to score at least 50 marks in each CAIIB component to qualify for the CAIIB exam.

However, there’s a single attempt rule you must know about. According to this rule, you qualify for the CAIIB exam if you manage to score at least 45 marks in each subject and 50% aggregate marks in total in a single attempt.
