- The CAIIB exam is held online, and objective-type questions (MCQs) are asked along with the numerical questions where candidates have to type the answer.

CAIIB Passing Criteria
Candidates must meet the qualifying criteria below to clear the CAIIB examination.
- The minimum mark required to pass in each subject is 50 out of 100.
- Candidates securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of the examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having completed the examination.
- Candidates will be allowed to retain credits for the subject they have passed in an attempt till the expiry of the time allotted for passing the examination.
CAIIB Class of Pass Criteria
Here is the class of pass criteria for the CAIIB exam:
First Class
To be awarded a First Class, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Secure an aggregate score of 60% or higher across all subjects.
- Pass all subjects in your FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.
First Class with Distinction
This is the highest distinction awarded on the CAIIB exam. To achieve it, you must:
- Earn an aggregate score of 70% or higher.
- Score at least 60% in each individual subject.
- Pass all subjects in your FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.
