CAIIB ABM Exam Analysis

The overall difficulty level of the CAIIB November 2025 ABM exam can be described as moderate.

A large portion of the paper was dominated by questions from Module D, clearly highlighting its weight in the exam. Numerical questions were mainly drawn from Module A, while case study–based questions appeared from Module B.

Key Observations:

  • Modules B and D once again emerged as the most influential sections of the paper. The relevance of Modules A and C tends to fluctuate, and in this attempt, Module A saw relatively higher representation, indicating a slight shift in trend.
  • Questions linked to current affairs or dynamic topics were limited, reducing the need for heavy focus on recent developments for this attempt. However, for upcoming exams, candidates should still keep an eye on updated data and recent changes, as their importance may increase.

Key Takeaways from CAIIB November 2025 ABM Exam

  • The primary resource for ABM preparation is the IIBF ABM book published by Macmillan Education, as nearly 95% of the exam questions are based on this text. Since the book is detailed and somewhat dense, it is important to begin preparation early to ensure complete and comfortable coverage.
  • For the remaining 5% of questions, candidates should refer to the RBI website and follow current affairs strictly aligned with the ABM syllabus.
  • Regarding RBI notifications and regulatory guidelines mentioned in the book, preparation should focus only on specific updates or changes. Studying older notifications without any revision is unnecessary and does not add much exam value.

CAIIB BFM Exam Analysis

The overall difficulty level of the CAIIB December 2025 BFM exam can be considered moderate. A major share of the questions came from Modules A and B, clearly reflecting their importance in the paper. Within these two modules, a higher number of questions were numerical in nature.

Theory-based questions were spread across all four modules and carried more weight than numerical questions overall. From Modules C and D, only a limited number of questions appeared, mostly from well-anticipated chapters.

Key Observations

  • Modules A and B emerged as the core focus areas of the exam. Module A contributed the highest number of questions, while a strong grasp of Module B fundamentals proved essential, as these concepts support better understanding of Modules C and D.
  • Questions from Modules C and D were largely restricted to selected chapters, as expected. However, these modules also included theory-oriented questions, reinforcing the need for conceptual clarity rather than selective numerical practice alone.

Key Takeaways from CAIIB December 2025 BFM Exam

  • The most reliable resource for BFM preparation is the IIBF BFM book published by Macmillan Education, as nearly 85% of the exam questions are sourced from this text. Given the book’s depth and volume, candidates are advised to start early to ensure complete coverage without rushing.
  • Preparation should follow a layered approach. Begin with the theoretical concepts to build clarity, and then move on to numericals and case studies, as these areas were tested in detail in the exam.
  • For regulatory aspects, candidates should stay updated with RBI notifications relevant to the topics covered in the syllabus, since several factual details in BFM are revised frequently. In addition, SEBI circulars should also be tracked wherever applicable.
  • For practice, recollected previous years’ questions (PYQs) are essential, as they help in understanding the nature and framing of exam questions. Questions provided at the end of each chapter in the book should also be prepared, as they are often asked directly or in a similar form in the exam.
