CAIIB Scorecard vs Consolidated Marksheet vs Certificate
Three documents come out at three different times after a CAIIB exam cycle. Most candidates confuse them.
| IIBF CAIIB Difference among Provisional Scorecard, Consolidated Marksheet & Certificate | ||
| Document | What it is | When it is Released |
| Provisional Scorecard | Paper-wise marks are released after each exam date | ~4-5 days after each paper |
| Consolidated Marksheet | All papers in one document, released with the official result | ~20-25 days after the last paper |
| CAIIB Certificate | Official proof of CAIIB qualification | ~45-60 days after the consolidated marksheet |
What is the CAIIB Provisional Scorecard?
The CAIIB Provisional Scorecard is the document you download right after your exam. It shows your marks for that specific paper. Since CAIIB papers are held on different dates, a separate provisional scorecard is released for each paper.
It is called provisional because the official result has not been declared yet. IIBF processes all papers together before releasing the final consolidated result.
What is the CAIIB Consolidated Marksheet?
The CAIIB consolidated marksheet comes out after the official result is declared. It shows all the papers you appeared for in that cycle: marks, qualifying status, and aggregate. It is your complete academic record for that CAIIB attempt.
Once you have the consolidated marksheet for all papers, you do not need the individual provisional scorecards separately.
Which Carries More Weight: Scorecard or Certificate?
The CAIIB certificate is the document that matters for formal purposes: increment claims, bank HR processes, and any future reference.
The IIBF CAIIB scorecard is a preliminary record that tells you your marks before the official result.
Use the IIBF CAIIB scorecard to understand your performance. Use the certificate for everything official.
When is the CAIIB Scorecard Released?
The CAIIB provisional scorecard is released approximately 4-5 days after each paper’s exam date. This applies to each paper separately: ABM, BFM, ABFM, BRBL, and elective each get their own scorecard released after their respective exam dates.
The CAIIB consolidated marksheet is released about 3-4 weeks after the last paper of the cycle.

Is the CAIIB Certificate Available in Physical or Digital Format?
IIBF issues the CAIIB scorecard in digital PDF format only. No physical copy is sent by post or courier.
The PDF you download is the official document.
Save it in at least three places:
- On your device (laptop or desktop)
- On a cloud storage account (Google Drive or similar)
- As an email attachment to yourself
The provisional scorecard portal does not stay active permanently. Redownloading it months later may not be possible. The copy you save now is your record.
Print a hard copy only if your bank’s HR process requires physical submission. Otherwise, the digital PDF is accepted.
How Long Does the CAIIB Scorecard Stay on the Portal?
The provisional scorecard download link typically stays active for about 30 to 45 days after the exam cycle ends. IIBF removes it once the final consolidated marksheet and official result are released.
There is no fixed maximum number of times you can download the scorecard while the link is active. You can download it multiple times during this window. But once the portal removes the link, it is gone.
Download it early and save it in multiple places.
What Information is Mentioned on the CAIIB Scorecard?
The IIBF CAIIB scorecard shows:
Candidate Details:
- Membership Number
- Name
- Address
Examination Details:
- Exam cycle name and year
- Subject name (the specific paper)
- Examination centre name and code
- Examination date
- Examination time slot
Marks:
- Marks secured out of 100 for that specific paper
Does the CAIIB Scorecard Show Percentile or Merit Rank?
No. IIBF does not show any rank, percentile, or relative standing on the CAIIB scorecard or consolidated marksheet.
You only see your raw marks per paper and your qualifying status. CAIIB is a qualifying exam. There is no rank-based selection, so IIBF does not publish rankings.

Is the CAIIB Scorecard Accepted for Salary Increment?
No. The provisional CAIIB scorecard alone is not sufficient for processing a salary increment. Banks process increments only after you submit the official CAIIB certificate.
The increment process typically works like this:
- Download the CAIIB certificate after it is emailed to your registered ID.
- Submit the certificate to your bank’s HRMS or HR department.
Exact increment procedures vary by bank. Check your bank’s HR policy for the specific process.
Is the CAIIB Scorecard Accepted for Promotion Eligibility?
The provisional scorecard shows your marks, but promotion eligibility is typically tied to the official CAIIB certificate, not the scorecard.
Most banks require the certificate before updating your service records.
Is the CAIIB Scorecard Accepted for Other Internal Bank Processes?
For most formal internal processes: HR records update, promotion applications, credential verification, the certificate is what banks need.
The scorecard serves as a personal reference document until the certificate arrives.
Can Marks Be Corrected After the CAIIB Scorecard is Released?
Yes, if there is a genuine error. The scorecard is called provisional precisely because IIBF may correct errors before the final result is declared.
If your scorecard shows something incorrect: wrong name, wrong marks, wrong subject, contact IIBF immediately through the helpdesk.
Does IIBF Issue a Revised CAIIB Scorecard?
If a correction is made before the final result, the consolidated marksheet will reflect the corrected information.
Whether a separately revised provisional scorecard is issued depends on the nature of the error. The official final output is the consolidated marksheet and result, not the provisional scorecard.
Can You Request Rechecking if You Think Your Score is Wrong?
CAIIB is a computer-based exam. Scores are system-generated. IIBF does not offer formal revaluation or answer-sheet rechecking for CAIIB.
If you believe a question had a wrong answer key applied, you can raise the concern through the helpdesk, but individual score rechecking is not an available facility.

What Comes After the CAIIB Scorecard?
Once your CAIIB provisional scorecard is out and you’ve confirmed your marks, here is the sequence of documents that are released next:
- CAIIB Consolidated Marksheet: Released with the official result, about 3 weeks after the last paper.
- CAIIB Certificate: The CAIIB Certificate is emailed to your registered ID within 3 weeks of result declaration
- Increment application: Submit the certificate to your bank’s HR or HRMS
For candidates who did not clear some papers, the next registration window will open according to the exam calendar. Check the CAIIB exam dates to plan the next attempt.
