IBPS Clerk Eligibility 2025
Before you apply, make sure you meet the IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria. IBPS clearly defines requirements for nationality, age, and educational qualification in its official notification.
1. Nationality
To apply for IBPS Clerk 2025, you must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or certain African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit (as on 1st August 2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Candidate must have been born between 2nd August 1997 and 1st August 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years
- PwBD – 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen – Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST), subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
- Widows / Divorced Women – Age concession up to the age of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates
3. Educational Qualification
- You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Computer knowledge is mandatory, either as a subject in school/college or as a certification/diploma in computer operations.
- You should be proficient in the local language of the state/UT you’re applying for.
