- The English Language section was of almost the same level as that of last year
- The reasoning was slightly tough due to the increased number of puzzles and Seating arrangement.

- Overall, the IRDAI Grade A 2023 exam was of moderate difficulty.
- The difficulty level of reasoning was easy to moderate, with 26 to 28 questions being a good attempt.
- Quant and GA were both moderate, with 20 to 22 questions as a good attempt for each.
- Most GA questions were based on the previous 2-3 months of current affairs.
- English was also of a moderate level, with 26 to 28 questions being a good attempt
- Phase 2 was lengthy, with ESI being easier than Insurance and Management (IM).
- The English descriptive paper included essay topics on climate change, women empowerment, freedom of press, and an insurance-related topic.
- Precis was based on bancassurance, and the letter was a complaint to the ombudsman against an insurer.
- The questions asked in the ESI Impacting Insurance paper were not much related to its syllabus. Questions were asked from PM Fasal Bima Yojna, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, functions of underwriting in insurance, the principle of utmost good faith, the principle of indemnity, 2 questions were based on the given numerical data. Questions were of easy to moderate difficulty and required basic subject knowledge to answer.
- The Insurance and Management paper had 35 marks allocated to insurance and 65 to management. Questions were asked from organizational change, digital transformation, personnel management vs. human resource management, a data interpretation set on insurance coverage, and an RC passage on insurance.
