However, I regret to tell you that this change has been very recent. And I don’t have the RBI officer salary breakup of the recent basic pay figure of ₹78,450 as of now.

But, I understand that it is important to tell you aspirants about the different RBI Grade B manager salary components. So, I will keep the old basic pay of ₹55,200 as our base for the breakdown in the table below. 

I will update the article soon when we have the new breakdown and updated RBI Grade B in-hand salary. 

Important Note: DA is given as % of RBI Grade B basic pay which keeps on varying.

After the increase in basic pay to 78,450,  the gross monthly salary will now likely go up to 1.5 lakh+. 

Now you would think that only totals to 18-20 lakhs per annum. But we talked about the total CTC being in the range of 32-34 lakhs. Yes, that was correct. 

Many yearly and monthly allowances add to the gross salary amount which I will talk about next. 

RBI Grade B Allowances: All the Perks You Get

Monthly Allowances of the RBI Grade B Officer

The various monthly allowances are listed below:

1. Petrol Allowance: Benefits for Daily Commute & Travel

As an RBI Grade B officer, you will be entitled to an allowance for your petrol expenses for daily travel between your office and residence. The amount is around ₹20,000 per month in most locations. 

The base is fixed at 150 litres per month, but for metro cities it is up to 180-200 liters.

2. Household Allowance: Support for Daily Essentials

Employees get a household allowance amounting to ₹5,000 per month.

3. Internet and Landline Allowance: Support for Communication

₹2,000 per month is allocated for internet, and ₹1,386 per month is granted for a landline connection.

RBI provides housing accommodation to its officers. However, if RBI officers are unable to obtain housing through RBI due to a lack of available units, they are entitled to receive an HRA of 15% of their basic pay.

7. Children Education Allowance: Support for 2 Children

4. Furniture Allowance: To Furnish Your Quarters

• RBI Grade B officers start with a monthly basic pay of ₹55,200.
