Bhavana grew up in Shivamogga, a town in Karnataka. Just like many of us, she went to a local school and then to college. She chose to study science; her degree was in Botany, Microbiology, and Biochemistry. It had nothing to do with money, banking, or economics.

Why She Chose an RRB Job Before Targeting RBI Grade B

She decided to give the RBI Grade B exam as a “trial run” this year. She told herself, “I will just try it out; the real serious attempt will be next year.” But life had a surprise for her.

“Clearing it in the first attempt wasn’t my expectation.” Sometimes, when we let go of pressure and just give our best, amazing things happen!

But how did she study while working a full-time job? That’s the big question for many working students.

How She Prepared for RBI Grade B While Working Full-Time

Working in a bank is not easy. The hours are long. Bhavana knew she couldn’t waste a single minute. She says that for working people, “smart work” is more important than just “hard work.”

• Have a Hobby: Do something you love, besides studying. It could be sports, art, or anything! It helps your mind and looks great on your biodata.
• Don’t Fear Your Background: It doesn’t matter if you are from science, arts, or commerce. Your hard work is what matters.
• Revise, Revise, Revise: Revision is the key. It’s better to read one book five times than to read five different books one time.
