When does SBI check the eligibility of candidates?

SBI conducts eligibility verification at the time of document verification. If any information provided in the online application is found to be false or incomplete, or if the candidate doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria as determined by SBI, their candidacy is canceled. This means they are not permitted to participate in the interview.

Is a diploma holder eligible for the SBI clerk exam?

No, someone holding only a diploma is not eligible for the SBI clerk exam. The eligibility criteria require a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Are final-year students eligible for the SBI clerk exam?

Yes, final-year students are eligible to appear for the SBI clerk exam. 

However, they must submit proof of passing their final examination by 31 December 2025 of the year in which the SBI clerk notification is released. 

This requirement can typically be fulfilled by providing a provisional certificate or a certificate of completion at the time of the interview.

Is a colour-blind person eligible for the SBI clerk exam?

Yes, a colour-blind person is eligible for the SBI clerk exam, provided he/she meets the other eligibility criteria.
