How to Fill the SEBI Grade A DAF Correctly?

SEBI Grade A Interview Slots & Candidates

As we already discussed above in the article, SEBI conducts the Grade A interview in multiple slots each day, generally divided into morning and afternoon sessions. 

Do Interview Slots Remain the Same Every Year?

The basic structure remains similar, but exact details can change each year. The number of interview days, slots, and boards may vary each year depending on:

• Number of vacancies
• Number of shortlisted candidates
• Availability of interview boards

How Many Candidates are Called Per Slot?

• Each slot usually has 10-20 candidates.
• Candidates are interviewed one at a time, not in groups.
• A short gap (5 to 10 minutes) is maintained between 2 candidates for board discussion, and a smooth transition

How SEBI Grade A Interview Slot Allotted?

• SEBI does not publish any official slot-allocation rule
• Based on past cycles, slot allotment appears random
• Slot (morning/afternoon) is pre-assigned
• Interview order within a slot is:
  • Either decided internally in advance, or
  • Managed by venue authorities on the interview day

Important Rules:

• You cannot request a change in slot or sequence
• Missing your allotted slot may result in the loss of your interview opportunity

SEBI Grade A Interview: What to Carry & What to Avoid

You must carry the following documents on the SEBI Grade A interview day: 

Mandatory Documents

You must carry the following documents in original + photocopy format:

• Interview Call Letter / Admit Card (printed copy)
• Original Photo Identity Proof (any one):
  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card

Is a NOC (No Objection Certificate) Necessary?

Yes. NOC is compulsory if you are employed in:

• Government offices
• Quasi-Government organisations
• Public Sector Banks/Undertakings (PSUs)

Important Note: 

• DigiLocker documents are not valid.
• Late submission of documents is not accepted.
• All certificates will be verified on the interview day.
• Missing or incorrect documents may lead to disqualification.

Items Not Allowed at SEBI Grade A Interview 

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the interview centre:

• Mobile phones (even if switched off)
• Smart watches or digital watches
  • Only simple analog watches are allowed
• Books, notes, newspapers, or written material
• Electronic gadgets:
  • Laptops
  • Tablets
  • Earphones
  • Calculators
  • Power banks
• Bags, backpacks, or large handbags

Can You Carry a Water Bottle?

• Yes, a simple transparent water bottle is allowed, although drinking water is available at the venue.
• No refreshments (tea/snacks) are provided

Baggage & Accompanying Persons Rules

• No locker or baggage storage facility is provided
• SEBI is not responsible for loss or damage of belongings
• Avoid carrying valuables
• Family members or friends:
  • Can accompany you up to the main gate
  • Are not allowed inside the interview premises
