SEBI Grade A 2025 Eligibility

• For 2024, it was 31 March 2024, and for 2022, it was 31 December 2021.
• There is no minimum age limit for all categories.
• 30 years is the maximum age limit for the unreserved or general category.
• Age relaxation is given to the reserved categories.

Educational Qualifications for the SEBI Grade A 2025 Exam

• For the general stream, you need to have a master’s degree/postgraduate diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in any discipline, OR a bachelor’s degree in Law/Engineering from a recognized university, OR CA/ CFA/ CS/ Cost Accountant.
• You must have the required educational qualification as of the date mentioned in the SEBI Grade A notification. For 2024, it was 31 March 2024, and for 2022, it was 31 December 2021.

SEBI Grade A 2025 Pattern

The selection procedure of the SEBI Grade A assistant manager 2025 exam consists of:

2. Phase 2

Here is the SEBI Grade A pattern for all the phases of the SEBI Grade A exam:

SEBI Grade A Phase 1 Pattern

Phase 1 is the first stage of the SEBI Grade A selection process, and it’s more of a screening test than a merit-deciding round. This means that the marks of Phase 1 dont count in the final selection.

But don’t take it lightly: it is the most competitive phase of the SEBI Grade A exam. If you don’t clear it, you won’t move forward.

Here is the SEBI Grade A phase 1 exam pattern:

• The Phase 1 exam of SEBI Grade A consists of 2 online papers worth 100 marks each and is qualifying in nature. 
• Paper 1 consists of 4 subjects, each carrying 20 questions, where each question is worth 1.25 marks, and you have 1 hour to complete the paper. 
• Paper 2 consists of 50 questions covering 6 subjects worth 100 marks, where each question is worth 2 marks, and you have 40 minutes to complete the paper. 
• You can choose either Hindi or English language (except for the English language test). 
• For every wrong answer, there is a 1/4th negative marking.

SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Pattern

Phase 2 (Mains) is where the real competition begins.

Unlike Phase 1 (which is just qualifying), your marks in Phase 2 count toward your final selection. So if you’re aiming for a top rank, this is the round you need to take seriously.

Here is the SEBI Grade A 2025 Phase 2 exam pattern:

• The Phase 2 exam of SEBI Grade A consists of 2 online papers worth 100 marks each.
• Paper 1 consists of 3 questions worth 100 marks, and you have 1 hour to complete the paper. 
• Paper 2 consists of 50 questions covering 6 subjects worth 100 marks, where each question is worth 2 marks, and you have 40 minutes to complete the paper. 
• You can choose either Hindi or English language (except for the English language test). 
• For every wrong answer, there is a 1/4th negative marking in Paper 2.

SEBI Grade A Interview Pattern

If you’ve made it this far, you’re almost there.

After two tough written phases, the final step is the interview round. This round carries 15% weightage in the final selection. 

And while that might sound small, it can absolutely make the difference. 

Candidates are shortlisted for interview based on their Phase 2 marks only (aggregated sum of 2 papers). Here is the SEBI Grade A 2025 interview pattern:

• The interview is conducted in person at various exam centers.
• You can take the interview in Hindi or English.
• The interview marks are not mentioned in the official SEBI Grade A notification.
• The weightage of marks obtained in Phase 2 is 85%, while marks obtained in the interview are given a weightage of 15%.
