Age Limit & Relaxation for SIDBI Grade A and Grade B 2025
Age for the SIDBI Grade A and Grade B 2025 exam is calculated as of 14 July 2025.
Age Limit For Grade ‘A’ Officers
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
You must be born on or between 14 July 1995 and 15 July 2004 (both dates inclusive).
Age Limit For Grade ‘B’ Officers

Educational Qualifications for SIDBI Grade A and Grade B 2025
To apply for the SIDBI Grade A and Grade B 2025 exam, you must have the following educational qualifications and experience on or before 11 August 2025:
Educational Qualifications for the SIDBI Grade A Exam
You must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Graduation (minimum 60% marks or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD) in
- Commerce
- Economics
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Business Administration
- Engineering
- Company Secretary (CS) / Certified Management Accountant (CMA/ ICWA)/ Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- MBA/ PGDM [in Any Discipline (the course must be of full-time 2 years)] / from a University/ Institution recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) / Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies.
- Graduation after Class XII with a 3-year duration (should have obtained minimum 60% marks or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD) if done from a UGC/Govt. recognised institute
- Post-graduation of at least 2 years duration after graduation.
Note: Final-year students are also eligible to apply. They must produce final mark sheets and certificates at the time of joining if selected.
Work Experience Required for the SIDBI Grade A Exam
Not required for candidates applying with either:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- MBA/PGDM (2-year full-time)
Mandatory for all other eligible educational qualifications: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in any of the following:
(A) Credit dispensation roles in:
- All India Financial Institutions (SIDBI, NABARD, NHB, EXIM Bank, NaBFID)
- Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs)
- RBI-registered NBFCs
(B) Core functional roles in:
- Investment/Merchant Banking (SEBI-registered)

You must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants)
- Post-Graduation in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in the aggregate of all semesters/years.
Note: Final-year students are also eligible to apply. They must produce final mark sheets and certificates at the time of joining if selected.
Work Experience Required for the SIDBI Grade B Exam
Essential: At least 5 years’ experience as an officer (permanent) in either of the following:
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
- EXIM Bank, NABARD, NHB, NaBFID, and SIDBI.
- Scheduled Commercial Banks included in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934
- NBFCs registered with RBI.
Note: Combined experience of 5 years across (A), (B), (C), and (D) is also acceptable.
