Unlike Grade A, which is entry-level, SIDBI Grade B is a mid-level opportunity that demands experience, maturity, and domain expertise and rewards you accordingly.

SIDBI Grade B Vacancies 2025  

SIDBI is recruiting for 11 Manager-level positions under the General Stream in 2025. See the category-wise breakup below.

Age Limit for the SIDBI Manager Exam

Here’s the age limit you need to meet for SIDBI Grade B 2025 as on 14 July 2025:

• Minimum Age: 25 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years

 (i.e., You must be born between 14.07.1992 and 15.07.2000, both days inclusive, to be eligible)

Note: You can claim only one category of relaxation at a time (except for SIDBI staff, which is always additional).

Educational Qualifications for the SIDBI Grade B 2025 Exam

You must hold at least one of the following educational qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD)
• OR a Postgraduate Degree with 55% marks (pass for SC/ST/PwBD)

Must be from a University/Institution recognized by UGC or the Government of India.

Note: Final year students are not eligible to apply. 

Work Experience Required for the SIDBI Grade B Exam

To be eligible for SIDBI Grade B, you must have at least 5 years of full-time work experience as an officer in any of the following:

1. Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
2. EXIM Bank, NABARD, NHB, NaBFID, and SIDBI.
3. Scheduled Commercial Banks included in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934
4. NBFCs registered with RBI.

Note: Combined experience of 5 years across (1), (2), (3), and (4) is also acceptable.

Candidates who’ve cleared JAIIB or CAIIB exams conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) will be given preference during shortlisting or interview assessment.

Nationality for the SIDBI Manager Exam

To apply for the SIDBI Manager exam, you must fall under any one of the following categories:

1. Citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal
3. Subject of Bhutan
4. Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
5. A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from the following countries with the intention of settling in India permanently:
   • Pakistan
   • Burma
   • Sri Lanka
   • East African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam

Attempts Allowed for the SIDBI Manager Exam

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for the SIDBI Grade B (General Stream) exam.

As long as you meet the age criteria, you can apply any number of times.

Just make sure you’re within the maximum age limit (including relaxations) and have the required 5 years of full-time officer-level experience.

SIDBI Grade B Pattern 2025

The SIDBI Grade B selection will be done through: 

1. Phase 1: Online Objective Test
2. Phase 2: Online Descriptive (Answers to be typed using Keyboard) and Objective Test
3. Phase 3: Interview

SIDBI Grade B Phase 1 Pattern

This is the first screening stage. It’s a qualifying paper, meaning the marks won’t be counted for final merit, but you still need to score well in the Merit Section to get shortlisted for Phase 2.

The paper is bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the English section, and all questions are MCQs. 

You will be shortlisted for Phase 2 based only on your merit section scores.

Note on Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in Phase 1. 

SIDBI Grade B Phase 2 Pattern

Candidates who clear Phase 1 move to Phase 2, which tests both domain expertise and writing skills.

It includes 2 papers:

• First Paper is of English Descriptive (essay, precis, RC)
• The Second Paper is of MSME/Finance/Management, with both MCQs and descriptive questions.

Marks scored here do count in your final selection.

Note on Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in the objective sections of Phase 1 and Phase 2 (Paper 2).

SIDBI Grade B Interview Pattern

If you clear Phase 2 of the SIDBI Grade B exam, you’ll move on to the Interview round, which is the final stage. 

Before the interview, you’ll be required to take a psychometric assessment. This test is only for evaluative purposes and does not carry any marks.

After that, you’ll appear for a 100-mark personal interview, which will play a key role in the final selection.

You can choose to give the interview in either Hindi or English, based on your comfort.

SIDBI Grade B Final Selection

The final selection for SIDBI Grade B will be based on your combined score in Phase 2 (200 marks) and the Interview (100 marks), making it a total of 300 marks.

If you’re aiming for the SIDBI Grade B exam, one thing you should know upfront is that the syllabus is not given in a detailed manner in the official notification. Especially for Phase 1, there’s no official list of topics.

• Basic Pay: ₹55,200 per month
• As a SIDBI Manager, your minimum gross emoluments will amount to approximately ₹1,15,000 per month, which will include:

A provisional registration number and password will be generated, and you’ll receive them on the registered email address.
