  2. Labour Laws had 64 questions covering Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour, and BOCW. The volume alone made it demanding. Many questions tested specific sub-sections and real scenarios, not just definitions.
  3. Social Security, GMA, and Current Events were the easier sections, provided you had covered the basics.

  • Q70 described a factory occupier scheduling 20 workers from 9 AM to 6:30 PM with a 30-minute break and Sundays off. Legal or not under the Factories Act?

You cannot solve these by locating a section number in your memory. The provision has to make sense to you.

A good attempt in the UPSC ALC Recruitment Test 2023 was 90 to 95 questions with 85 to 90% accuracy.

Negative marking was one-third. Three wrong answers cancelled one correct answer. Blind guessing loses more than it gains.

  • HRM and Management had zero questions in 2023, but it is in the syllabus. It can be asked in the upcoming exam.
